FRESHSLICE MAGAZINE COVER
FRONT
BACk
The front cover is meant to convey connection and health, while subtly incorporating an upward layout to reflect the headline “Company on the Rise.” I kept the imagery bright and saturated so it would stand out, and included the Proudly Canadian badge, which personally resonates with me
For the back cover, I contrasted the darker front with a lighter frame. I took cues from previous Freshslice magazine designs to split the layout into two segments, showcasing a few unique promotions and headlines in the classic green/red scheme
Boardgame Kickstarter
what’s in the box?
turn card
Front page graphic design for a Kickstarter board game project. “What’s in the box” relays to the customer exactly what they’ll find in their new purchase, and hints as to what they may expect from the 300 cards they would receive in the original version of the game
A design for an information card each player receives to help understand their turn a little better, and speed up the game overall. Colors and icons directly match the cards used in the game to help relay the information visually
kickstarter page cover
Main cover for the Kickstarter project, which served as the main thumbnail for the page, and the official banner for the social media platforms. Using the help of Midjourney AI, the background art was generated and improved with Photoshop’s Generative Fill. The box art was finalized and 3d-projected onto a box model in Blender, to be repositioned for the final piece. Additional effects such as Zoom Blur were added to fake reflections, and the project was polished off with icons representing the most important information for a new customer; such as length of play, target age group, and amount of players required
MEET THE TEAM
A small introduction to the team behind the board game, with links to our socials / communities. I used two contrasting colors and sharp shapes to create a slick modern look, while maintaining a brand adherence with the familiar background art
THUMBNAILS
Custom thumbnails created with multiple versions for Youtube’s ‘Test and Compare’ feature.
